The Estate was laid out by Thomas Cubitt in the early 19th Century. The area is characterised by a clear hierarchy of coherent urban spaces which range from the grand - Belgrave Square, Eaton Square - to the intimate - the many mews that run parallel to the main streets.

Fred Pilbrow led the team at PLP preparing competition winning masterplan proposals for the regeneration of a 9-acre site in Belgravia on behalf of the Grosvenor Estate. This is a project of PLP Architecture.
The masterplan site encompasses the urban blocks at the south of the estate where the existing Victoria coach station is currently located. The coach station, which will be relocated to facilitate Crossrail2, blights the quality of the area.
