Fred Pilbrow designed 21 Davies Street whilst a Partner at KPF. The award winning building set record London residential sales values and its design is cited by Westminster and Historic England as an exemplar of contemporary architecture in the historic environment.

The form of the building reflects its mix of uses: retail and restaurant at street level, and offices, apartments and rooftop penthouses above. The design draws on the traditions of the 19th century London mansion block with generous communal spaces serving well-planned and light residential interiors.
